Volunteers

MedLend Medical Missions

Support staff

Support staff volunteers are extremely important. This role includes medical industry students, travel organizers, people who speak languages of mission locations - basically helpers. You must be willing to sort supplies, help clinic patients and their families, interact with local staff, and/or run errands while in country.

Support staffers have the most difficult job, because you can never be sure exactly what to expect. Each medical mission is different, and you may find yourself wearing a few different hats if you are chosen to fill this position. This responsibility is also one of the most rewarding, because you will get to view surgeries, and may receive medical training in the field. Also, you will get to spend time checking in on pre-operative and post-operative patients.
